Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has recently released a notification for the recruitment of Stenographer Grade-I in Assam Secretariat (Janata Bhawan) under Secretariat Administration Department.

Age Limit

21- 38 yrs as on 01.01.2021 (Reserved category candidates will get the reservation benefits as per government rules).

Qualification

1.) Stenographer Gr-I (English)

Graduation in any stream with Typing Speed of English 150 WPM and Language (Assamese, Bengali and Hindi) 120 WPM.

2.) Stenographer Gr-I (Language)

Graduation in any stream with Typing Speed of English 150 WPM and Language (Assamese, Bengali and Hindi) 120 WPM. Minimum 06 yrs of service as Stenographer Gr-II or Gr-III or both.

Note-: Candidates need to pass the typing test of 120 WPM in English and 100 WPM in Language (Assamese, Bengali and Hindi) before sitting for the Typing Test of English 150 WPM and Language (Assamese, Bengali and Hindi) 120 WPM.

Pay Scale

Pay Band- 04, Rs.30,000- 1,10,000/- with Grade Pay Rs.13,300/-

BPL/PWBD- Rs.35.40/-

Selection Process for APSC Stenographer Recruitment 2021
