ASHA Workers Salary Increased- Check the Latest Updates of 2022

The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday increased the salary given to ASHA workers from Rs.750 to Rs.1500. Asha and Asha Sangini get Rs.1500 per month from the Central Government and Rs.750 per month from the State Government. After the increment in salary, now Asha Worker and Asha Sangini will be able to get Rs.3000 per month.

The Uttar Pradesh government has also announced a separate bonus of Rs.500 to the ASHA worker who did good work during the Corona period from 01 April 2020 to 31 March 2022.

The ASHA worker was also protesting in various states for the last few months regarding the increase in her salary. Asha worker is working as a backbone for the health department during the Corona period. Asha workers have been raising the demand for their salary and other facilities for a long time and this decision of the Uttar Pradesh government is really commendable.

Uttar Pradesh government will soon start many more facilities for ASHA workers like insurance scheme, risk allowance, PPE kit etc. National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) has issued many updates in this regard.
