Ayushman Yojna: All Costly Treatment and Tests will be Free including Cancer, Neuro, Heart & Other Serious Medical Problems

All serious medical problems like Cancer, Neuro, Heart, MRI and other treatments will be free of cost under Ayushman Yojna (PMJAY). The Central Government is going to increase the budget of this scheme. Currently, Rs.5,000/- per year is the maximum limit for Radiology Test and the remaining amount was paid by the patient.

Now, Government will also include the tests charges in the scheme also. All types of Radiological Tests cost will be added to the Scheme. National Health Authority of Central Government has sent this proposal to all State Governments. 40% of the cost of this scheme will be covered by the State Government.

More than 800 types of packages amount will be increased in this scheme. Patients registered under Ayushman Scheme can take the benefits of Medical Treatments in any Government/ Private Hospital up to Rs.5 Lakh per Year.

Currently, patients having Medical Problems related to Cancer, Neuro, Heart, etc. are facing trouble in treatment because MRI costs up to Rs.3500- 7000/-, Scan of the Stomach up to Rs.11,000- 15,000/- and CT Scan up to Rs.1000- 1500/-. So, that's the reason that Patients are unable to complete their medical treatment in a limited amount.
